In order to better implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, realize the digital transformation of the gas industry, accelerate the low-carbonization of the gas industry, promote the integration of digital green transformation and scientific and technological innovation, and empower the Chinese gas industry and its ecological partners, the China Industrial Gases Association (hereinafter referred to as China Gas Association) held the "China Gas Industry Digital Artificial Intelligence Hundred People's Association (hereinafter referred to as the Hundred People's Association) Establishment Conference and 2024 Digital Artificial Intelligence Forum" in Hangzhou on September 5. The conference invited nearly 80 industry and enterprise leaders and experts and scholars to share wonderful reports on the development of AI technology and its application and prospects in the gas industry. The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Pu Chungan, Executive Vice President of the China Gas Association.
Ma Yinchuan, Chairman of the China Gas Association and General Manager of Beijing Shougang Gas Co., Ltd., delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of this conference. Ma Yinchuan said that the "Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Comprehensively Deepening Reforms and Promoting Chinese-style Modernization" adopted by the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee first mentioned "digital intelligence". This is the first time that the government has used the term "digital intelligence" in an important policy document, reflecting the digitalization of the integrated development of digitalization and intelligence. It has become an industry consensus and an important engine for the development of new quality productivity. In the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, the development of the artificial intelligence industry continues to accelerate.
Ma Yinchuan pointed out that since 2024, my country has intensively issued a series of policies in the field of artificial intelligence. In January, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and seven other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Innovation and Development of Future Industries", which clearly proposed to use artificial intelligence, advanced computing and other technologies to accurately identify and cultivate high-potential future industries. In March, the Ministry of Education launched the "Artificial Intelligence Empowerment Action" to promote artificial intelligence empowerment education in many aspects. In July, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China and other four departments jointly issued the "Guidelines for the Construction of the National Artificial Intelligence Industry Comprehensive Standardization System (2024 Edition)", leading the accelerated formation of a standard system for the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry. In August, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Opinions on Innovating the Management of the Information and Communication Industry and Optimizing the Business Environment". The opinions aim to encourage enterprises to carry out technological innovation and industrial applications in emerging fields such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and quantum information. This series of policy documents have provided strong support for the development of the artificial intelligence industry and injected new vitality into the rapid development of China's gas industry.
Ke Bin, head of the AI Application Working Group, delivered a speech at the conference. He said that artificial intelligence, as an important driving force for the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, is increasingly affecting and changing our production methods, lifestyles and social governance methods. As an industrial policy formulation and implementation department, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has always actively promoted the innovative development of the artificial intelligence industry. Regarding the high energy consumption of industrial gases, Ke Bin pointed out that whether it is to solve bottlenecks and difficulties or to change lanes and overtake foreign counterparts, breakthrough technological innovation is needed to gain a comprehensive leading competitive advantage in the domestic and foreign markets. Ke Bin emphasized that the three rounds of benign interaction in the education system, applied scientific and technological innovation, and talent training of artificial intelligence are the inexhaustible driving force to support the innovative development of the industry.
Pu Chungan announced the structure of the board of directors of the China Gas Industry Digital Artificial Intelligence Hundred People's Association at this conference and issued a letter of appointment. He hopes that these board members, under the leadership of leading units and leaders, will promote the quality, efficiency and power changes of China's gas industry with digital intelligence and improve the modernization level of the gas industry. The meeting also made arrangements for the next work of the Hundred People's Association.
Pu Chungan said at the founding meeting of the Hundred People's Association that in order to promote the development of digital artificial intelligence in the gas industry and enhance the new quality productivity of the gas industry, with the support of China Industrial Digital Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Xiangkang Technology Co., Ltd. and other units, the China Gas Association is planning to establish the "China Gas Industry Digital Artificial Intelligence Hundred People's Association" on the basis of the original "China Gas Cylinder Informatization Alliance", and it was reviewed and approved by the 12th Council of the 9th China Gas Association.
Pu Chungan explained the collection and evaluation of the "AI Application Innovation Scenario Application Case" organized and launched by the Industrial Culture Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in May this year. Bo Chungan said that on July 18, the first batch of cases that met the "AI Industry Innovation Scenario Application Case Assessment Guidelines" totaling 16 were announced, among which the "Industrial Digital Hub Smart Operation System" of China Industrial Digital Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was among them.
The conference also set up the 2024 Digital Artificial Intelligence Forum. Eight guests, including Mr. Huo Shaoyou from China Engineering Digital Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Ms. Gao Meiyi from Yingde Gas, Mr. Yang Wenbo from Shaanxi Boiler Power Co., Ltd., Mr. Geng Ziduan and Ms. Li Hui from Demashi, Mr. Wu Hailiang from Schneider, Mr. Xing Shiqin from Beijing Zhongke Fuhai Cryogenic Technology Co., Ltd., Mr. Guo Xiangfei from the National Air Separation Testing Center, and Mr. Zhang Lie from Shanghai Jiajia Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., respectively shared their reports on "AI-driven, intelligent future", "AI-assisted intelligent operation of air separation", "Focusing on the intelligence of air separation, demonstrating new momentum for improving quality and efficiency", "Health and fault diagnosis of large units based on AI", "Schneider Electric's digital technology to help the air separation industry", "Intelligent supply chain and AI application of industrial gases", and "Comprehensive energy efficiency evaluation and assessment of air separation". The report focuses on the integration and innovation of data and intelligent technology, and combines the digitalization and intelligent upgrading process of the gas industry to provide reference solutions for the industry.
