After a thoroughly communication, both parties have reached a preliminary consensus on the project that will be settled in the comprehensive bonded area of Yueyang City, Chenglingji, New Port Area.

Chenglingji, New Port Area news shows that the total investment of ultra-large liquid crystal display module binding project is about 5.15 billion CNY, the annual output value is about 5 billion CNY; this project plans to introduce liquid crystal display module binding equipment from South Korea, to build a large-size display module Production-demonstration-base, the production capacity of the base will reach an annual output of 12 million pieces of OpenCell LCD.

According to the current plan, Chenglingji New Port Area focuses on the development of electronic information, new energy and new materials, advanced equipment manufacturing, cereal and oil processing, modern logistics and other industries. Top 500 enterprises such as Huawei, Evergrande, Chilwee have been introduced since 2019, and a number of "10 billion output value" projects such as the Sino-Korean Intelligent Display Binding Project, Innochina Aerospace New Materials, and Sinograin Oil Processing have landed.

The secretary of the Party Working Committee of Chenglingji new port area, Li Jianhua, said the success of China and South Korea intelligent display industry project, has laid a good foundation for future cooperation between South Korea OSTech Ltd. and Chenglingji New Port Area.

LCD module is a modular component formed by assembling LCD panels and related drive circuits, backlight sources, integrated circuits and other components, which is the core component of electronic products such as TVs, cell phones, computers and tablets. Among them, large-size LCD modules are mainly used in TVs, monitors, laptops and other fields.

In recent years, the market prospect of large-size LCD modules is optimistic, mainly benefited from the downstream TVs, monitors, notebook computers and other areas of demand growth and technological innovation. According to the data from S&P consulting, in 2021, the global large-size LCD module shipments reached 180 million pieces, a year-on-year growth of 12.5%; in 2022, large-size LCD module shipments reached 190 million pieces, a year-on-year growth of 5.6%.
